    Come journey with Well-Read Mom women as we make a beautiful pilgrimage through Green Bay to Our Lady Of Good Help (the only Vatican approved Marian site of apparition in the United States!) to celebrate the Feast of the Assumption with pilgrims from around the country.  

    We will walk 38 miles over three days, on scenic trails and country roads. We will be sleeping at Catholic parishes along the way.

    There will be time for fellowship, silence, reflection and prayer as we support and encourage one another.

    There will be opportunities for daily mass, (including a mass at a beautiful Carmelite monastery), confession and spiritual direction along the way.

    Pilgrimage Dates:  Friday, August 13 - Sunday, August 15.

    DAY ONE: 13 miles (5.5 hours)

    Park cars and check-in:

    St. Anne’s Church

    202 S. Packer Drive, Manitowoc, WI 54220

    Start at check-in @ 12:15pm -1:00pm (*come having eaten lunch).  

    1:15: Prayer and begin walking

    DAY TWO: 17 miles (approx 7/7.5 hours walking)

    Walk from All Saints to Holy Name Monastery (7 am mass) and then to St. Thomas in Luxemberg .5m.

    DAY THREE: 7.6 miles (3 hours)  walk from St. Thomas the Apostle to National Shrine of Good Help 

    Registration is $200 and includes a WRM pilgrimage T-Shirt, mass & priest donation, donations at all Catholic sites visited, meals, lodging, speakers, luggage transport and support help and a coach bus ride back to your cars.

    $100 is non-refundable and $100 is refundable until August 2, 2021.

    Join Well-Read Mom Founder, Marcie Stokman as she introduces and leads us through two short stories from authors such as Flannery O'Connor, Nathaniel Hawthorne, and O. Henry. Experience the renewing power of literature as we explore the human condition and are re-oriented to the good, the beautiful and the true. Copies of the short stories provided at workshop; prereading not required.

See how in changing times, the simple proposal to stay together to read and discuss books can have an impact on our personal growth, our families and the culture.

    This presentation follows Mass and Wine and Appetizer Social at St. Francis.
